Teaching experience
43 years: day care; pre-school; elementary school; three high schools; three test preparation schools; alternative high school; two colleges; three universities, and with the following specialized populations—migrant workers; adult day care; English language learners; gifted and talented; students with disabilities; home bound students and juvenile delinquents. For six years, Jean has been the mentor for Project Interact, a division of Rotary International. In the program, high school students from North Shore Hebrew Academy go to a local daycare to read picture books and design craft projects with three or four year old kids. This program has given over 1000 volunteer hours to the Great Neck Community and was honored this past April by Nassau County and the Great Neck Rotary.
