New Media

The New Media Major at Molloy College is a 45 credit major that focuses on a the culture and history of our modern media environment. Studies include a history of media in the form of 1s and 0s and how it affects culture to activist courses that engage the local community through social media. The program takes an academic approach to memes, tropes, and significant visuals often taken for granted. Majors can focus on web design, writing, video storytelling, webseries, and digital literacy.

Our majors grow academically with an interdisciplinary approach through Molloy College’s phenomenal liberal arts education and become experts in the exciting and growing world of new media.
